Organized on June 5,1843, The First Baptist Church of Cranford/Elizabeth (est. First Baptist Church Elizabeth) is a multi-ethnic, intergenerational American Baptist Church located in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Faith Statement:
First Baptist Church of Cranford/Elizabeth is a Christ‑centered, Bible‑believing community rooted in the love of the Triune God— Father, Son who is Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.
We affirm the cannon and authority of Scripture and seek to live out God’s Word through worship, discipleship, and compassionate service. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we proclaim the Gospel, welcome all whom God sends, and witness to God’s transforming love in our local community and beyond. Our assignment is to grow faithful disciples who embody God’s grace, share God’s hope, and participate in God’s work of healing and reconciliation in the world.
